we hung out along the Metolius River just north of Black Butte and the Camp Sherman area .
plenty of blue tarps and firewood stacked .
no hookups .
lots of folks using dispersed camping with no fees .
the best camping is underneath the Ponderosa Pines along the river or near a meadow .
plenty of room between neighbors even in the FS campsites .
we must have used the word beautiful a hundred times describing the scenery / experience.
i am a bigot .
i feel no sympathy for those " campers " that are on hookups and asphalt .
there is a solution to overcrowding .
get out there people !
