New here...campgrounds that do not allow campfires

Some do, many don't. The ones that do usually have fire pits. As I said above, that's where phone calls are going to help you more than most of us can. For every single RV park that someone lists here, there are literally dozens, if not hundreds more throughout the south and south western US.
