If money is the ONLY criteria for picking a winter park, Texas would win as there are more parks in Texas that is in the price range. There are some in Florida, just not as many. They are harder to find.
We choose a winter spot based upon overall value, not price.
The OP sounds very happy with Texas, and that is good.
We are very happy with Florida.
To each his own.
Ditto, I wouldn't leave Cortez Florida for anything Texas may have to offer...except maybe a bigger better T-bone, only kidding.
To each their own but we are happy here and are not leaving.
