The "usually friendly" snowbirds section might be more realistic in another comparison -- that of the reported "Sticky" weather at its beginning. Pensacola and Gainesville pale in comparison to any place in SW Florida, but are probably listed to make the RGV weather sound less fierce.
Likewise, the number of RVers in the Miamia area pale next to the number on the gulf coast, but the really expensive RV parks are located on this coast -- and also provide a lopsided "statistic" to use in a FL/TX comparison.
If the Fort Myers to Naples area were listed, the report on Florida would take a decided jump in temperatures and give a more honest basis for comparison. To ignore such a large area 250 miles and more south of Orlando -- an area which comprises the entire southwestern part of the state -- is very misleading to snowbirds who are just starting this life-journey.
