Niagara Falls.. Us side, nearest campground

I have read some previous posts but did not hear much about the closest one.. Niagara Falls campground and lodging. Any opinions on this? We are heading up there to see the falls, then moving on. Will not be spending time "relaxing" at any campground.

Thanks for your input.... We do like full hook ups also
  • We liked Branches of Niagara. Short drive to the falls. There is a toll bridge one way $1.00 when we were there.

Four Mile Creek State Park is very nice. Some sites back up to Lake Ontario. About 15 minutes to Falls.

    Nicest in the area.
  • I agree that Four Mile Creek SP is very nice, and in fact it's our favorite for longer term stays in that area. The OP should note though, that the hookups are electric only, with water and dump stations available, just not at each site.
  • The Canadian side is a must see. It is much more impressive vue than the US. You will not be sorry.
  • We stayed there several years ago, and found it to be clean and well maintained. Sites are pretty close together, but we used it just as you're proposing to do, so wasn't a big deal. It is probably 4-5 miles to the falls, iirc, so not really as close as I had thought.
