Niagara Falls

Brief run down, wife has been wanting to go to Niagara falls for some time now, we have the truck to make to trip so we are making the plans. I have done a lot of searching on this site, so please don't tell me where the search button is. Trying to decide if it will be easier just staying on the states side and traveling over the boarder a few times for the sights, or crossing over with the camper. I am more worried about what food and spirits we can bring, or should I say how much, and having to restock while there or bringing what we normally bring and staying state side. Seems like the campgrounds on the Canadian side are nicer and they have the shuttles to the falls, towns ect. Would we be able to cross with a weeks worth of groceries ect on board without much hassle? Or is it just as easy to cross over a few times in the truck?
  • I have found that it just depends on the crossing gaurds. If they have had a bad night no you won't be able to get into Canada with a weeks proveisions. If they have had a good night then you could come across with a load of anthrax meat and they wont even bother to ask what the blood is dripping from the truck. So I guess my answer would be are you feeling lucky?
  • We stayed at the KOA on the Canadian side. Used the shuttle and didn't have to worry about parking. The Canadian side has most of the attractions and, in my opnion, better views of the falls.
