Well actually they do degrade the experience because our campsite along with others was on the same row as the owned ones. We were on site #12. To our right was a permanent site and all around us were permanent sites. We weren't the only site on that row that was for vacationers. So, for anyone considering making reservations at North Beach I would ask to make sure that the you're not on the same row (area) as the permanent sites, assuming that would irritate you.
