North Carolina ocean front campgrounds

We are planning a trip to North Carolina to do some R/R want ocean front campground with 50 amp service any suggestions nice beach would be a plus
  • Camp Hatteras and Cape Hatteras KOA are right on the ocean. They are right next door to each other. At either one you need to step over a low dune, so technically you are not "Ocean Front", but you won't find any one better.

I prefer Camp Hatteras for no particular reason. I guess when we first started going to OBX, the KOA was a little shabby. But after a hurricane blew it away, they have all new structures and pool

As you can see from the overhead view the campground extends from one body of water to the other. Again, for no particular reason, I prefer the sites on the row closest to the Ocean. There is a little restaurant/bar just north about a half mile. They have rear deck where people sit out there just to watch the sunsets.
