I seldom drive by that there isn't police activity in the area. Much further north, in Melissa, is the Lighthouse RV Park. It is an OK park, but a long drive to Addison. Other options are going to put you at Lake Lewisville or near Denton, an even farther commute. If it is a relatively short visit, park your rig and get a hotel room, you will be glad you avoided the traffic.
X2 - when you say Addison, you're really saying North Dallas and all the good and bad things hat go with the area. Go to Denton which BTW has a Camping World location right there on the West side of I 35 W if you shop there.
