Northeast Ohio

Hi all. Looking for some help. Family is starting to plan our summer vacation for next year. It will include a trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky. After a few days there we will finish with a baseball game in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Anyone have any thoughts on a nice campground about halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Would prefer close to I-80 for easy access to both cities. Thanks in advance for the help.
  • Check Guilford State Park in Lisbon, Ohio-there's a small lake there. Punderson State Park is closer to Cleveland but is really nice. Good Luck, (Go Bucs!).
  • Punderson is nice. I would avoid Mosquito lake. Shenango reservoir and Berlin COE are nice.
  • Check out the Chaparral Campground as it is mostly season and not very desirable to us. Stoppe, looked and left. Went to Geneva State Park. Great but far from the beach.
