Northeast Suggestions?
Hi everyone!
I'm quite far from any of the National Forests, which I understand are among the best places to boondock. I live in Bucks County, PA - and I'm about to get my first travel trailer and hopefully have some great adventures with my dogs in the years ahead! I'm very much interested in dry camping in more remote areas (well, hopefully reasonably close to where I can get water and fuel if necessary). Anyway - for months now I've been searching the internet looking for places like I've described around the PA area, and I've found virtually nothing. There have been a number campground recommendations - which I suppose I'd do if they had extremely secluded RV sites (which, from what I understand, is not common). I know this request is probably so common - looking for extreme privacy, etc. etc. -- but after using the site and apps that focus on boondocking, I'm coming up empty!
Does anyone have any suggestions for great boondocking locations anywhere in a 3 hour window from the Bucks County (New Hope) PA area? Perhaps the 3-hour window is the unrealistic part? I suppose I was hoping to keep travel time down so I can enjoy some weekend adventures without a full day of driving.
Thank you very much in advance!
Tom
