- TravelrExplorerX2 on Casper Beach. It's right across the street from the beach. A 3 minute walk tops. Good general store too. Try to get the spot right behind and above the store. It's the best. Look at their website and webcam. We also always stay in Bodega Bay at the marina... Porto Bodaga. Same, look at their website. We try to get one of the spots facing the bay. I put our kayaks in the water just 10 feet in front of the RV.. Yes, in front. We always head front end first but the spots are set for back ins. But hey, make a new friend and head straight in!
There are other good places on the North Coast but these two are always our first choice if we book far enough in advance. - NorCal_DanExplorerWe've stayed at Casper Beach and would stay there again.

Then picking the area you are looking at... and don't believe everything you read in the reviews - unless all of the reviews are terrible. - RognBonExplorer

Check out Pomo Campgroung about a mile north of Fort Bragg proper.
While I agree that Pomo is by far the best rv park near Fort Bragg, I have to correct one thing: Pomo is located approximately one mile "SOUTH" of Fort Bragg, not North. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. :) - TyroneandGladysExplorerMade that trip this year and I could not find any ON the beach with hookups. Not saying there are not any but not that I found. The first I found ON the beach north of SF with hookups were in Oregon.
We stayed at Harris Beach State Park and Oceanside RV Park Coos Bay. Can not wait to get back to Oceanside great people and great location. - sp8goldExplorerWe have stayed at the Manchester Beach KOA. About a block off the ocean. We enjoyed our stay there and would return.
- diveman52ExplorerOne of the nicest parks in my opion is in Fort Bragg.
Wonderful area to visit. We'll be there in a couple of weeks.
Check out Pomo Campgroung about a mile north of Fort Bragg proper. - John_WayneExplorer IIThere are a few south of Crescent City on Klamath river one on the south side just off the highway a mile or so and one north of the river on the highway. Have stayed at the one south was OK with full hook ups short drive to ocean.
- jake2250ExplorerTry Bodega Bay RV park, or Porto Bodega, Both have full hook ups and allow dogs,, Porto Bodega is right on the water..
Porto Bodega
Bodega Bay rv park - KampingKrisExplorerWe've stayed at Olema before. Okay park in a nice area. About an hr. to San Fran. We've caught the ferry before which is fun and eliminated parking fun in the city. That or Petaluma I believe are the closet to the city which can take your size rig.
