- CroweExplorerLove the Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Not cheap but right on the water, beautiful beach, pool, lazy river, lots of kid's activities and very well run. Many activities outside the park-go karting, amusement parks, shopping, etc. Sites are tight. Also like the Outer Banks but think the beaches in MB are better.
- ken56ExplorerHilton Head Harbor Resort is really nice.....you will pay for that niceness too. I don't see you getting to the ocean in one day either. You might consider Virginia Beach, The Outer Banks, North Myrtle Beach or Myrtle Beach.
- accsysExplorerYou may want to check out Myrtle Beach, SC as there are several right on the beach. Since that is prime real estate, the prices are not inexpensive and the sites are pretty tight. The Myrtle Beach State Park is probably the best if you can get in.
- Headed_WestExplorerI think a 2 day drive is more realistic. We are looking at Hilton Head. Anyone out there have campground recommendations?
- doxiemom11Explorer IILake Michigan is big enough you will think it's an ocean. Fresh water though. Anywhere along the west side of Michigan there are an abundance of campgrounds. The state of Michigan's website can help as well as listings by city at rvparkreviews.com.

We love Holland. Spent every summer there growing up in the cottages down the beach from the state park. The water is always freezing... Love watching the boats going in and out of the channel by Big Red light House. - punomaticExplorerIt's not on the ocean, but we enjoyed Holland State Park on Lake Michigan last year.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIYou can drive 700 miles in one day?
