- garysolExplorerWe have stayed at Evergreen numerous times and love it. We have never found an issue with the sites being to narrow to fully extend our awning. We love the park for its indoor pool and hottub area and the shower house may be the nicest anywhere.
- roverdoverExplorerStayed at Berlin RV in 2012. Good place if you just need a base camp. It is on a hill side, but gravel pads were fairly level. Sites were wider than many places we have stayed.
- novi2someExplorerI don't like narrow sites. I have a motor home with two slides and I like my space. I am starting to eliminate Evergreen. I am leaning towards Whispering Hills.
- atreisExplorerThey stayed in the ones on the right (as you're pulling in) - don't know how different they are. The site they had was also a pull-through and was plenty long for their large Class A plus toad, but was VERY narrow. The mgmt had tried to make it nicer by adding a line of arborvitae along part of the site but while they added some curb appeal they didn't help make it wider.
As mentioned before, the sites and grounds are beautifully maintained - one of the nicest I've seen. My parents love it. I would probably like it better if there were more mature trees (something that takes time) and if they removed every other site so they weren't so close together.
Different people like different things. If FHU is really important, or the nice pool is really important, and you don't mind small sites it's a good option (or if you haven't ever camped places where a normal site is 60 feet wide and 80 or more feet deep). - tracyb-ohExplorerWe have never had the problem you described at Evergreen with narrow spots. But we always stay in the pull thru spots on the left as you pull into the campground. We can fit our C in easily with plenty of room to park our toad behind us.
- atreisExplorerMy parents like Evergreen for the amenities (the pool is quite nice). I don't like that they weren't able to put their awning completely out without it touching the slide on the trailer next to the them. While the sites are nicely maintained, they are VERY narrow.
Personally, I'd recommend doing without the full hookups and staying at a state park (electric only). - richardwiseExplorerThere is a campground in Sugarcreek that an Airstream club has a rallye at every summer. Not sure of the name, maybe Winklepleck Campgrounds. Living in the area, and working in Sugarcreek, never paid much attention. Why pay to park RV somewhere half hour from home? Have to run to Sugarcreek today, will try to get some info.

Assuming the Amish area you are considering is Holmes County, we have stayed a couple of times at Whispering Hills RV Park just south of Shreve. While there are other places that are closer to the center of the county, Whispering Hills is a much nicer setting than the open parking lots we've seen elsewhere. IMHO

I love this place and would certainly recommend it. clicky - twins89ExplorerWe stayed at Scenic Hills and would go back again anytime. It is a no frills but has full hook-ups and is easy to get anywhere from there.

Looks likeEvergreen is the place to stay with Scenic Hills as backup.
Thanks.
As others have said, both are nice. We preferred Berlin PV park as we aren't fans of the asphalt parking lot feel. To each their own. Have a great time regardless of where you choose to stay.
We truly enjoy Amish country. The food is fantastic and we always visit Lehman's Simple Products store at 4779 KIDRON ROAD, DALTON, OH 44618
