Ohio State Parks/Rv Parks

Looking for advice from anyone willing to share any experiences on decent camping spot in Ohio State, we have a wedding on September 6th 2014 in Mentor looking to take a few days to camp out with travel trailer in the area and attend wedding. If anyone can share with us a nice park to camp in we would appreciate some input with others who have experience in the area, as always we appreciate everyone's input.
  • My cousin lives in Mentor. When we visited them we stayed at Punderson State Park.Nice.
  • Joseph T - Just a quick note. At Geneva SP there are not very many full hook-up sites. To fill your tanks, you check in, drive back towards the campsites, turn around at the dump station and drive back to the check in building. You drive to the right of the building and fill from the hook-up at the building. You then pull out turn around and go back to the sites. It is a little weird but not difficult when you know what to do.
  • Thank you all for your input looks like we will try Geneva State Park.
  • We stayed at Geneva SP last Sept (also for a wedding). we loved the park and we also road our bikes on the bike path over to Geneva on the lake. Most of the shops were closed by mid Sept when we went, but it was a neat little town if you are into the old fashioned fair midway type town.
  • We love Geneva State Park. There is a nice bike path that takes you past Lake Erie. We have never stayed in the private campgrounds.
  • If you are looking for a state park there is Geneva state park and just a few miles down the road is a private park in Geneva on the Lake Indian creek it's a Good Sam park
