We have been there several times - including last year.
And, God willing, will be back there in 2016.
If you want mid to south (we happen to love Cannon Beach but that is north - and Newport as well) I would recommend Winchester Bay and Bandon By The Sea. W B is a fantastic RV park but we find the area does not meet our needs so much as we like beach walking more than dunes. B B T S is a good park; not as nice as some we have stayed at but would certainly return - we love the Bandon area.
