The only issue with the back ins is the way the sun travels across the sky. Those sites don't get very much sun till later in the day. If it happens to rain before you get there then the spots will be wet for days. Thats why we go with the pull thru's as they run north and south mostly and as the sun travels across the sky they get sun sooner and for a longer time. They tend to dry out sooner after rain. We have stayed in the spots your talking about and it's a******shoot for a dry one or a wet one. I don't want to sound negative because it's a beautifull park and you may get a nice stretch of weather. We love going there in Sept as the crowds are gone, the weather is great and the park has had time to dry out over the summer. IMO I would take my chances and stay at Bev Beach as it's nicer than South Beach.
Yes the weather will be what it is but that's OK.
The main reason we chose the back in on the perimeter was view...our rig has the large rear window. Not sure what we will be looking at (no other sites behind us) but know what it would be if we were in the kind of pull throughs (half moon inner site) at Bev and that would probably mostly of another rig.
Again thanks for the info and we will be looking at more State parks as we go.
