Oregon Coast

Going up the Oregon Coast starting May 21 in Brookings and looking for comments on the following;

Beachfront RV Park - Brookings

Oceanside RV Park - Charleston

Winchester Bay RV Resort

Port of Newport RV Park

Harborview RV Park - Garibaldi

We'll be out to almost the end of August this trip and will have more places to look at as we continue into Washington and then East into Idaho and maybe Montana.

Thanks in advance.
  • Not sure what you are looking for - FHU or not, amenities, etc.

We have not been south of Winchester Bay on the last three trips so can't offer anything current there. Winchester Bay one of our all time favorites and, yes, Newport is pretty much a parking lot - but nice parking lot. Have beautiful photos from the park at the bridge in the sunset.

We love Cannon Beach RV Park when you get up there; one of our favorites as well. But you best book soon; not sure they will have availability.

Cannon Beach to Winchester Bay is one of our all time favorite areas. If you want, see www.LaurenBarbara.com and check the Wanderings link and OR for pix.

Email or PM me if you would like.

    Be safe - enjoy.
  • Thanks all....

Beachfront RV Park - Brookings - booked

Oceanside RV Park - Charleston - booked

Winchester Bay RV Resort - booked

Port of Newport RV Park - possible but looking at State parks in the area

Harborview RV Park - Garibaldi - not yet but probably.

Glad we booked what we did as sites are filling up but we scored some good ocean view sites. Updated our itinerary in our Trip Journal.
  • The places you have picked are all ok! Have stayed at them all and never a problem.
  • Review all Oregon state parks in the areas you are visiting. Among the best in the United States so you should definitely choose from them first and then fill in with other alternatives.

If your travel stops include Coos Bay, we like the Oceanside RV Park on Cape Arago Hwy. It is out of town a few miles, a almost private beach (not beach view), the park was clean, has wifi, etc. JH

Thanks, Oceanside is on our list. Looks like a great place.

Beachfront RV Park - Brookings Personally I like Brookings Harbor better. while a parking lot, it also offers fantastic views out the front.

    Oceanside RV Park - Charleston

    Winchester Bay RV Resort Definitely!

Port of Newport RV ParkIMHO it is a large parking lot. No grass. Better would be South Beach State Park

    Harborview RV Park - Garibaldi

Other than the two I mentioned i would personally visit our state parks, You will not be disappointed.

Thanks, will look closer at the State parks.

In Brookings we are looking at The Harbor.

Did you look at rvparkreviews for comments? An easy starting point.

We always do that first but not everyone here posts reviews.
