We're a little farther north than you, but we've done all those parks many times over the years.
From Glacier go north to Banff and the Ice parkway. Spectacular mountain scenes, Lake Louise, glaciers you can walk up to and so on. This is the first stop on the Alaska trip but you don't have to keep going.
We went up the east side of GNP to the Canadian Peace Park then up thru Calgary to Banff. Coming back we went down the west since passing Yoho NP and down to Kalispel. You need Passports. There are many threads about this area.
