Overnight campground between Chicago-Myrtle beach?

As the title says, I am looking for a decent overnight stop on the way home somewhere in Kentucky, Tennessee or ???? I`ve been searching for places, but haven`t really found any place that sounds nice...

Thanks. I am willing to drive a bit out of the way. I was considering the Gauly Bridge area in WV. I`de like to find something to see so I can add another state to my map :B !

BTW, I will be staying at Beechnut Campground in MT Airy NC to check out the birthplace of Andy Griffith and the unofficial home of Mayberry!
