Overnight on west side of St. Louis?

Any suggestions for nice campground for overnight on west side of st. Louis? Thinking about the Koa near Allenton. Anyone have comments or suggestions? Thanks Tara :)

  • ok thanks everyone! We do want easy off and on ,on I-44. It will be close to 9pm when we get there so Koa sounds perfect! Thanks again :)
  • I agree with sdianel, the KOA is your best choice for an overnight stay. It's easy off and easy on I-44.
  • we have stayed at the KOA in Eureka (Allenton) and it was just fine. The reviews are above average with the exception of bathrooms needed cleaning.
  • X2 on Babler State Park. Huge grassy sites. Need reservations.
  • My buddy was just there at St Peters, they had a storm come thru this weekend that upset a couple of fifth wheels. Firemen had to break the rear window in one to get the the people out.
  • Here is one on the NW side of St. Louis, Lakeside Park, we stayed there overnight, it was OK. It's either a State or City Park. It gets good reviews.
