Forgot to mention in my earlier post that the kids have decided to skip the big cities on this trip. Thinking about spending a couple of days in Champoeg State Heritage area to see the Gorge and wine country before heading to the coast. Does anyone know about this area or have other recommendations for an area to stay nearby? We would like to find three stops along the Oregon coastline where we would stay for approximately three days each. Hope to take day trips from each. Appreciate your feedback!
