As people on here that know me know - I am a reservation person. For key places as much as a year ahead of time. Then we get the spot (or type of spot at least) locked in. If "stuff" happens you call and adjust; that is no big deal -- and sure beats chasing around / spending time looking for a spot when we could be hiking or doing something we enjoy. And we don't get the spot next to the dump station designed for a class B when we have a 35' 5er to get in to it.
Even made changes with reservations (adjustments / cancellations) - very few over all these 17 years - and never had an issue. And less than a handful of cancellation charges.
