LOL, we have had the opposite experience. One stay at Hillsbourgh and nothing memorable about the rangers.

That really is remarkable. With Hillsborough they were rude from check-in on. (More than one stay) They read and listed every rule as if we were children.
In their zeal they did not notice our state park pass we earned as campground hosts with the Florida State Park System for over 500 hours of service.
I would offer a guess that we knew the rules better than they did. As is the case with most campground hosts, we did more rule enforcement in a park in a week than the typical ranger does in a month.
