Penn State Football game

Hello All,

Never been to a PS game and we are considering going. Would love to bring the camper like we do for NFL games on occasion. Anyone every RV'd at Penn State game? Is there a specific lot that would allow a trailer? Can you stay overnight Friday and Saturday night before and after the game? Every stadium has different rules but I figure there must be somewhere with a fun tailgating scene where we can just stay and then walk into the game.

Thoughts? Thanks!
  • Sure wish I had some info, but for the college and NFL games we have enjoyed with our RV we went to the teams website for info and phone numbers needed to get answers to these pertinent questions. Have fun at the game, Penn State sure has a good team this season, and a possible Heisman Trophy winner on the roster.

I camped a year ago there and had a blast. Super tight spots though. Things changed this year which the above article goes into. I hear it is very very hard to get a spot anymore since season ticket holders get first grabs. I personally haven’t tried so I am not sure if that’s true.
  • Thanks! Appreciate the link. Sounds like the Grange fairgrounds is the only option. Would seem a bit weird being 20 minutes from the stadium for a tailgate, but the shuttle and the electric and water hookup sound awfully nice! Might have to give it a shot! Thanks again!
  • My dad goes every year and he was just there this past weekend. He really liked staying at Grange along with the other couple they were with. He said it had plenty of campers that were there for the game. They did still buy a car parking pass though and went over early to the game and tailgated at the stadium. After game they went back to campground.
  • Haven't been there since the late 80's. Easy to get a spot on Thursday in the big lot for an rv, but I guess that was a different era. As an Alabama fan, if I had consumed all the drinks I was offered by PS fans I probably wouldn't have been able to walk to the stadium.

    Such a great rivalry.
