Pepe's on the River "The River" & El Charco Ranch RGV

I can now report back on "The River" (formerly known as "Pepe's). Apparently, and without much success, they must be courting a younger crowd. Music was loud country/rock from the nineties. I don't think any of the band ever heard of Merle, Hank, or Lefty. Food was provided from a caterer's truck. Beer was $3.00/bottle. Not much of a crowd and the tables and chairs were pretty dusty. In other words, all of the worst of the old Pepe's with none of the "Cool" that we hoped for. Riverside was much better and many folks showed up there after trying "The River".
