Percentages

A very informal survey of this mid range RV park in the RGV (Rio Grande Valley of Texas) shows that only about 20-25 percent of the available RV sites are occupied this weekend. That compares to almost double that on December 1, 2015. We peaked at about ninety percent last January but that seems like a very optimistic goal this year. Curious how other parks are doing?

Funny that few are posting in the Snowbird forum. Lack of interest or doesn't anyone have any questions?
  • Seems every year really cold weather comes later and later. Here in north TX lawn mowing season used to end in Oct. Now some years i am still mowing into Dec. Mid to low teens or even single digits were common. Last few years it has rarely dropped below 20.

Took a trip to the TX hill country out west of San Antonio last week. Coming back up I-35 there were a lot of RVs headed south though.
  • Many of the snowbirds we know stay home to spend Thanksgiving with family before heading south.
