We have camped at Topsail in Destin and Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores. Both are beautiful! Topsail has a shuttle to the beach, but you can walk to the beach at both campgrounds. Both have a pool, but the pool at Gulf State Park is much larger. Both towns (Destin and Gulf Shores) have the usual tourist things to do...putt putt golf, go-carts. Gulf State Park has a zip line course that is a lot of fun, as well as an extensive system of bike paths. Of the two, we prefer Gulf State Park.
