I've been to several campgrounds where pets are restricted to a particular loop which, to me, makes a lot of sense. Don't get me wrong, I am a dog person. But I really don't want to vacation where I have to put up with someone's dog yapping away, doing its business on my site, or charging at me as I walk by.
