It happens at truck stops also,, while over the road I was awoken many a time from a errant four wheeler (car or pick up) speeding thru the lot honking its horn or skidding there tires..
Happened at a truck stop in Bakersfield CA, It startled me at first. Then the sirens woke me again,, when I got up to investigate I found out that the pick up found what it was looking for,, A couple of truck drivers and a couple of baseball bats,,no more glass or plastic on that pick up!! Driver came out to greet him and the pick up sped by narrowly missing another driver walking back to his truck,, They stopped him and had a Discussion!!! End of story!!!
