Pigeon Forge area campgrounds

I once saw a campground from the road near Pigeon Forge, TN. It was on the side of a hill and I am sure the campground had a great view. Does anyone know what campground this is? I searched and could not find one that I thought was the one that I saw.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on a campground with a nice view in the North Carolina Mountains, let me know. I do not know if I will go this fall, but my wife wants to.

That's on a hill for sure, very steep getting up that to the sites. We go there in the Winter to look at the lighted tunnel, and ride the chair lift.
  • Nice, secluded location, with interesting hiking trails. Not a typical cg, but a woodsy, quiet place.
  • We love the state parks Cosby and Elkmont. they are in the park so no power or water but still we love it
  • I have been looking around. Can anyone tell me about Bear Den Campground near Spruce Pine, NC? It is just off of the parkway. I looks nice. I have not found anything yet with a really amazing view from the side of a hill.

  • It is closed now. It was high on a hill on the Gatlinburg end of Pigeon Forge.
