Lots to see and do in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. If you don't like the long hikes anymore, stop at the Sugarlands Visitor Center for Great Smoky Mountains National Park just outside Gatlinburg and ask about driving experiences in the park. These include Cades Cove and the Cherokee Orchard/Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail which is accessible off Airport Rd (Traffic light #8) in downtown Gatlinburg.
We have always enjoyed Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge (have been there 4 or 5 times over the years) - - and if you like BBQ, don't miss Bennett's BBQ - - they have a restaurant in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We also found the "Titanic" exhibit in Pigeon Forge to be worth visiting. Of course there are lots of live shows in Pigeon Forge to take in. Most combine a dinner & show (like the Dixie Stampede).
