Pigeon forge

We booked 5days 4 nights in late September at Up The Creek in Pigion Forge Tn. I know it’s a little late now but is this place any good? What’s your favorite place in th Smoky mountain area?
  • That is why I said in an earlier post we went back four years in a row. I have looked at other cg's in the area but that one suits us 100% in all areas.

Did you try a Stonehouse pizza while you were there. That is the little pizza place in front of the elementary school.
  • The good thing about Up The Creek is that it's out there a little but close enough to Pigeon Forge. We haven't stayed there but we kinda "toured" it and will stay there next time.
  • Just a heads up for the area, it's busy season. Trees are starting to change colors and traffic is heavy. We've had family down and we spent tthe last 2 days in G'burg and PF. Bring your patience. Tried to eat at the Old Mill Restaurant and it was a 2 hour wait at 6 PM. Other restaurants on the strip were just as busy.
  • We had the stonehouse pizza last year while we were there, very good. This year we had big daddy’s pizza, very good also.
  • We have stayed at Twin Creeks RV in Gatlinburg...just a couple miles from town. Nice park, creeks running alongside and back...and the trolley to Gatlinburg and other nearby places has a stop right in front of the park.

We have also stayed at StoneBridge RV in nearby Maggie Valley.
