Pine Mountain RV Park TN what to expect

Site 50. Hope it has some shade. June 22-26. What to do? Places to eat? Sites to visit?
  • We'll be in site #43 from the 16th- 20th. Stayed in Site #61 last year. Park is very clean and not cramped in like sardines. Tons to do.Go to Pigeon Forge tourist website.

Here are a couple pics from last week. We were in #49 #50 will be were that garbage bag is sitting. We spent a full day in down town Gatlinberg,Cade's Cove loop in the mountain,Dolly's show, day trip to Knoxville looked at some lake houses on Douglas lake then moved on to Nashville. For eats I will second the old mill had to go to the pottery pottery shop across the stree for my wife to buy one of the small flower vases they use on the tables.

Thanks for the pictures. Were they taken in the afternoon or morning?

    About 8:00 am

  • No shade needed a couple of years ago during the winter :W

Here is another picture during the fall so you can see the size and amount of trees.

But seriously the trees are not that tall in the park. The park is very nice but I would not say it is very shady. Most of the trees as seen in the previous picture are not large shade trees.

Still our favorite park of chose when in Pigeon Forge area.

  • We use to stay at site 50 every October for the leaf changing season. Very large concrete site. Last time we were there, 2 yrs ago, the trees were not tall enough for shade.
    Don
  • Little forested area near there called Great Smoky Mountain National Park might be worth a look too! :)
  • Best of best. Very clean newer park. Good pool with ok to use indoor pool across street at motel. Friendly staff. Site 50 is on stream but be aware stream is very small. Lunch at Old Mill, breakfast at Apple Barn,-Bennetts for bar-b-q-Alamo for steaks-No Way Jose in Gatlinburg for TexMex. Tons of things (Dollywood, go carts, outlet shopping, golf, white water raft) to do in PF. Walk the main drag in Gatlinburg and visit small shops, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. In park visit Cades Cove, hike, tube, fish, etc.)
