My family and I are on a year long RV trip around the country. Because of some work issues I need to find a place to stay in the month of August and stay put. I need to make sure it's somewhere with either reliable wifi or a good (4G) verizon signal for my mifi.I'd like somewhere that would allow us to weekend up to Vancouver, Olympic, and North Cascades when I'm not working M-F. Any suggestions? I have 3 kids (13, 11, 7) and we are in a 32' wildcat. Thanks!

1 Block west of I-5 in Mt Vernon Wa there is a trailer park on the south bank of the Skaget river. they take guests by the week. month or ?It is an easy access to the freeway, and town.

You might check out parks in the Anacortes area. About 10 miles west of I 5 . From there it's a short trip up to Vancouver and thru the Cascades on Hwy20. You can also catch the ferry to Port Townsend to tour Olympic Park. Fidalgo Bay RV resort is very nice but a little spendy.

Anacortes would be perfect and everyone would enjoy the short ferry trip to Port Townsend! Have fun!!

I don't know why you wouldn't want to stay in Port Townsend. It's close to Olympic Park; it's only a ferry ride away from Vancouver Island or downtown Seattle. Furthermore, Port Townsend is a funky town with charming Victorian homes. You could stay at least two weeks at Fort Worden State Park which has full hookups right on the beach and if you wanted a change of scenery you could try Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island which is the most popular park in WA. Alternatively, you could opt to stay at the Escapees Park in Chimicum, just down the road from Port Townsend, if you are an Escapees member. There's excellent 4G service in Port Townsend, although I'm not sure what is available at Deception Pass. Chimicum has 3G service.

LeMar Acres, a mobile home park in the town of Yelm is in the process of closing down - long term project, definitely will not be out of business by the end of August. They have a number of open sites that can accomodate an RV. We "camped" there for over six months in 2003 while having a house built. Grocery store, gas stations and other shopping within easy walking distance. The owner recently passed away and the kids are wrapping things up, sorry but I do not have any contact information. Cell towers less than 1/2 mile south.
