Places near Vegas Or Needles Ca ?

we are from Washington state.we're snowbirds and got stuck in this covid thing as many others. we are in Ogilby ca near Glamis dunes, and would like to head north to get home eventually. are there places to boondock near these 2 places that are not close to anyone else? Ive heard of a place near Overton? we have a long rig so limits where we can camp. appreciate any ideas!
  • We have frequently stayed in a vacant lot next to a Terrible's station at the junction of AZ95 and I 40, which is about 6 miles east of Needles. Well lit, no problems.
west of Needles on I 40 is a CA rest stop. North of Needles on CA95 there is an rv park in Searchlight. At Railroad Pass just south of Las Vegas, is the Railroad Pass Casino with parking for trucks and rvs.
  • thank you!

We will be heading back to WA state soon also. Occasionally we spend the night in a large dirt lot next door to the Denny's restaurant/casino in Searchlight, NV. Plenty of room to maneuver even at our 65' length.

There are some BLM areas around Lake Havasu and Bullhead City in AZ. The Riverside casino in Laughlin is allowing RVers to park in the parking lot even though the casinos are closed. Don't forget this area is going to start getting warm soon and it may be nice to have FHU to run the AC.
  • “Liking to head north get home” isn’t necessary travel. Staying put and waiting this out is the safe way to protect yourself and others and stop this virus.
