Kentucky_Joe,
Left Branson this past May 2014 after spending 15 months Workamping at the Dewey Short Visitors Center for the Ozark Rivers Heritage Foundation and the COE. Don't remember you?
As for eating places their are many to choose from. You can go down to the Landing and find several top notch eateries. You can go to the Dixie Stampede for the show and food. Then there is BT-Bones. Silver Dollar City has pretty good food as does the Grand Country. You have pizza, but the best pizza is in Branson West at the Pizza by the Chef and next door there is Tequila II. Other Mexican Fare is in Holister and they have good pizza in Holister, Hook and Ladder. You have Golden Coral across from McFarlins. You have BBQ several places but Danna's is the best. You can go out to the Chateau on the Lake if your wallet is stuffed in green. You can go out to Indian Point and get some good Cajun Food, as well as Charlie's Steak and Seafood or eat on Hwy 76 at Charlie's Steak and Seafood.
You have Bob Evan's by I65, there is Clockers Café downtown, Jackie Be Good, Midtown Cafe, Hard Rock Café, and so on for more space than I have here and more time & money than you have to spend in the Branson Area. They even have a several seafood places and some great deserts at Freddies, Andy's Custard along with many others.
Bon Appetite.
