Places to RV Camp Around Saginaw Michigan

Hi Folks, we have a reason to be in the Saginaw area early September and are looking for an overnight place to stay nearby. Any recommendations either way?

Anyplace up to an hours drive would be OK. We heading in from Port Huron and then north at Flint I believe.

Thanks Bob806. Looks like a nice place but may be a little further north than we want. Eventually we're headed to Marion VA via Saginaw.

  • Electricity only is fine for 1 night as long as we can get water from a faucet. We plan on having some Sumosprings installed and are just looking for a place to camp for the evening before the install is scheduled to happen. Thanks for the link Michigansandzilla ... there looks like a facility on the way in from Port Huron that might work.

Not attending the autoshow ... actually heading down to Hungry Mother S.P. near Marion, VA after to meet some maxi-scootering friends for a few days of Dragon's Back riding.
  • Are you going to the Frankenmuth Auto Fest by any chance? I'm also thinking about going but its packed everywhere around there, Sept 9-11.
  • Do you want FHU or would you prefer electricity only like at a state park?
There are a few state parks near Saginaw. Bay City state park looks like the closest one. I haven't been there though. Here's the link if you're interested in getting a site.
