We've stayed at several Good Sam campgrounds this year already and all have been good, clean, and full hook-ups with a reasonable price. Very comparable to KOA, but seems to be many more of them than KOA!
Stay away from Atlanta South! We have used them twice for quick over nights, but they are full of permanent campers that are not in very good shape. Facilities are so so. Better options out there. - johnnyrvExplorertwin oaks is our stopover from florida to north georgia. excellent park close to i75
- jeb5ExplorerAnother vote for Twin Oaks. There are several others in Perry that are very good, but the management at Twin Oaks are the very best. Left the tv lounge unlocked so that I could watch Ohio State.
- 93Cobra2771ExplorerThanks, everyone, for the suggestions. We have a spot reserved at Twin Oaks.
- jaycocamprsExplorerArrowhead Park on Lake Tobesofkee. Bibb County Park just west of Macon. WES and 50amp pull thru's. Claystone also has the same, but is smaller.
- dblrExplorerAnother vote for Twin Oaks.

About 2 hours south of Atlanta and 2 hours north of Florida line and 4.5 hours to Orlando, we like Twin Oaks RV Park exit 127 then left. Passport America park. I would call ahead if you want a pull thru.

this is a great campground and have stayed many times there....also a new campground at exit 80 next to Carrolls which is another 47 miles south..Chuck - fla-gypsyExplorerX3 on High Falls State Park
- RGar974417ExplorerDitto on High Falls State Park. They have 2 campgrounds.Make sure to use the River Campground as the other one has small sites that are hard to gte into. The River Campground has water and electric, large sites, many pull throughs and nice bath houses.
- junmy3ExplorerWe have been to several RV rallies at Twin Oaks at exit 127. Definitely would recommend it for an overnight stop. Also if you want to go further south we would also recommend Grassy Pond Military recreation area at exit 5. They have recently changed their policy so that you do not have to be military to stay there. They have several nice pull through sites with full hookups. For non military the charge is $25 a night.
