Today was cold and rainy, so I went to the Appleton Museum in Ocala and then did some grocery shopping.
We stay only a week or two in one place and take advantage of whatever the area has to offer- museums, sights, festivals, riverwalks, restaurants and the like. We have
N.A.R.M. memberships, so many museums waive admission fees (although we always leave a donation).
Most of the time we stay in state or federal parks, so we can go canoe-ing, hiking, looking for birds, wild pigs (and wild monkeys!). Most parks have ranger walks or talks or and an interpretive center to look through. Geocaching is on our list of things to try. We don't have bikes yet, or we'd do that, too.
Some days we just feel lazy and hang around the camper. Just like home, we occasionally need a day to catch up on bill paying, laundry and cleaning.
There's always something to do.
