We drove from Cannon Beach to Yellowstone, using this route--I-84. Something I would definitely recommend seeing along the way is Multnomah Falls...just off 84 near the Dalles.
We stayed at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone and liked it. The little town is nice and is right at the West Entrance. There is a great visitors center there and the Rangers can give you maps and info. I also enjoyed the Grizzly and Wolf Center.
