We will be visiting the end of June to see a show at the Gerding Theater at the Armory. Is there a campground in the reasonable vicinity, or will we have to park and hotel it?

Depends on time of day. Evening, 30 minutes or less. Rush hour expect 60 minutes or more. From where I am right now I can be I down town Portland in about 25 minutes, and that is all freeway except the first three miles.
