Downtown hotels? Not going to happen if you like your RV. Closest Wamlart is about five minutes from me. Your best bet is Sandy Riverfront or Portland/Fairview. Both have easy freeway access and mass transit is right outside the park entrance. While there are a few downtown hotels, they are... well downtown hotels. Parking is very limited and there is no way ,A, I would attempt to drive an RV down town, and ,B, there is no way in heck I would leave my RV parked downtown for more than three minutes. Theft is rampant from all the homeless and druggies on the streets downtown.
If 3o minutes is too far for you, maybe you need to find a long term parking and stay in a downtown hotel. Or slow down and enjoy the ride on mass transit.
