Thanks..this was our first time camping at Vogel and it couldn't have been better...we had been on day trips before and never thought we'd get the site we had, which was #59....at GA State Parks you can't reserve "specific" sites, you are just guaranteed "a" site...some folks don't like that system, however we do...otherwise I think these sites would always be booked with no chance of getting it....we showed up on a Wednesday morning in April and had several to chose from on the creek...by the weekend they were all full as was most of the park...not all sites here are on the water, but there is water flowing all through the campground which we just love...talk about peaceful sleeping !! I'm assuming the water flows all year, since our day trips were in fall and winter and it was flowing..... The first waterfall picture is in the park, the other just a couple of miles outside the park...and yes, I had a hard time getting husband out of the hammock :) We love Vogel State Park.
