Potato Creek State Park
HI, I'm thinking of going to Potato Creek State Park in Indiana. I haven't been there for a couple years. I have a 28' tailer with a small slide out. Does anyone have any site specific recommendations...

Most of the sites will accommodate you just fine. The campground is okay but the patrons can be a little rough around the edges. We are right smack in the middle of Potato Creek and Pokagon state park and will go to Pokagon every time if it is up to us. But from Chicago it is clear on the other side of Indiana for you.
Also at Potato Creek they have been having a blue green algae problem and it is not safe to swim in the lake (people or pets).
On the same road, State road 4 there is a little mom and pops campground called Beaver ridge that is also okay and they seem to put on more kids activities and they have a clean pool.
We often run up the west coast of Michigan there are several places right on the lake and some off.
If you are looking for Halloween themed weekends look at South Haven Family campground. They put on a great weekend.
