I'm planning to boondock in Quartzite at the end of January, or perhaps the first week in February. It it very difficult to find a spot nearby? Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place around there to boondock?

I couldnt believe how many hi-po cars that were racing on it. the view back onto Lake Elsinore at the top was really cool.

So are the places where temporary camping is allowed marked, designated? Or do you just pull off the road wherever you choose and set up camp? Ive been eye balling it a lot here lately from Gmaps and it looks like a lot of vacant land surrounding the place for miles in every direction. Im planning a trip out that way too sometime just to see what its like.

There are free 14 day areas such as Dome Rock or Hi Jolly. For $40.00 for 14 days or $180.00 for 6 months there are Long Term Camping areas that provide dumpsters and a dump station; some have a fresh water source.
