We have camped at Buffalo Bill state park three times over the years. First time was in the 80's in tents and we thought we were going to blow away. The other two times were in the MH and I recall winds heavy enough to rock the MH one time. No memory of winds the second time. Just three nights is a small sample, so others with more experience can probably provide a better idea on how often the winds are strong.
My recollection is that the winds started around sunset and blew for a couple of hours, then went calm.
There are two campgrounds there and we have always stayed at the one nearer to Cody.
