Quileute Oceanside RV Park, Washington

I am looking for information on the rv parks at Quileute Resort. I have been on the website, but can't find information on the rv park and the cost. I would like to hear from anyone who has been there. Thank you.

  • In short, I would not go back. Here's the long review.

It is hard to rate this campground. For an RV “Resort” it’s not really RV friendly. There are no signs for entrances or exits, no directional signs to find your way to your space. In fact no sign at all to find the south part of the park. (The office lady just said “go left around the back of the store.”) It doesn’t have any of the features usually found in a Resort. No pool, no hot tub, no BBQ area, no outdoor game area, no lodge, no dog walk area, no cable, Wi-Fi only available in a room adjacent to the office.

The location, however, is spectacular. Many sites front the beach, with views of the surf, rocky islets just off shore, and sunsets.

Coming down to the Park, you first see a store with a sign on the front saying “RV.” I pulled in there and was told the RV park office was further down the road. On exiting the store I did see a small sign across the road with an arrow pointing to the office. Turning in at the office there was a sign a little further down the hill saying “RV’s pull forward.” The only thing given at check-in was a receipt; no directions to site, no park map showing the location of showers, trash cans, etc., no listing of amenities, no rules, etc.

The park has two sections. The sites in the north are mainly gravel pull-thrus with some grass and a fence between each. Some have sewer hook-ups on both sides. Fairly new building with toilets and showers. The part south of the store is more basic. All gravel back-ins. Mine was level. Full hook-ups worked well, looked pretty new. There is no separation from the road. One group of ocean front sites has no outlet; if your space is near the end you have to back down the “road” before backing into your site. Many tent sites are sandwiched in back of the ocean front sites. There are a few toilets and showers back at the store and there are some construction site style portable toilets scattered around.

    If I had to rate it: Resort=0, Amenities=0, Customer Service=1, Hook-ups=8, View=10
  • WE have stayed in that CG twice in the last few years and would go back if/when circumstances will allow ( health). Have enjoyed that whole area of the Olympic Peninsula!
  • I will be going there Tuesday. If they have WiFi I'll add a post about it Wednesday, otherwise look for it on Mother's Day.
  • La Push has one restaurant, but you can get a excellent salmon dinner at a very reasonable price, or try the salmon burger.
  • Beautiful scenery... RV's are close to the beach but it's on the rez so tribal rules ... dogs do not have to be on leash and they aren't. ATV's drive up and down the beach. But when it's quiet ... it is NICE. You can see the waves hitting the beach from your rig.

...there is a National Park cg very near La Push...Mora CG has 94 sites and is about 3 miles from Rialto Beach. Rialto Beach is accessible by Mora Road, off of La Push Road.
here's the info I rounded up when i was looking at making a reservation:

  • If its the RV park in La Push, we have gone twice, Beach is rocks and huge tree stumps, but whales can be viewed from your windows. They try to separate the families from the surfers that party all night. They have a store and gas station.
The town of La Push is a poor little fishing village, that doesn't offer much at all in the way of anything.
