Branson in Nov/Dec?
Just have a notion that I'd like to visit Branson during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season and although I see the weather to be Cool(mid 30's - high 50's-60's), I'm not so sure about the drive from CA...

We spend summers and falls in Branson. Because of the iffy December weather (sleet, freezing temps, ice slick hills) we leave mid-to-late November. The good news is that November 1 kicks off Branson's Christmas season at the shows and at Silver Dollar City's amazing light displays, so you can enjoy an early start and still get what you're looking for. If you come in October, you will see some of the most beautiful fall foliage to be found. Also lots to do. Sounds like a weird tourist attraction, but Harrison, AR is 35 miles south of Branson and its cemetery has over 100 mature maple trees that have awesome color in the fall. Travel from CA during October and November shouldn't pose any problems.
