Dallas area campgrounds
We are looking for a campground close to Dallas, TX. Not finding anything to great. Any recommendations. Thanks.

City of Lewisville's Lake Park on the west shore of Lake Lewisville. Its OK. Nothing special, but convenenient to lots of stuff. A little out of Dallas, though. Its also close to Hickory Creek COE as noted above. Hickory Creek has a very nice state park like feel. You feel isolated from the big city but are somewhat close to NW Dallas area as well as Denton and Lewisville.
